I know I'm tempting fate by saying this but we've not had much snow this winter. While that has been fine with me, it's actually been a shame for Sam because as it turns out, he loves snow. A lot. In fact, he finds it beyond hilarious. We had a good dump of the white stuff a couple of weeks ago and Sam was beyond delighted as you can see in the video.
While it's still mid-February and we're definitely not out of the woods yet, I'm not dreading snow as much as I used to as I now know how much fun it can be looking at it through the eyes of a toddler. Also working to reduce my dread of the white stuff is our new snowblower. We've only had to pull it out once this year but it made clearing up the driveway a total breeze. It's probably directly due to us getting a snowblower that we aren't getting the usual amounts of snow. That plus the fact that Colin recently bought a new pair of backcountry skis. It kind of figures that the year we don't actually mind snow, we don't get very much of it. (Please come back to read in a few weeks to find out whether I need to eat all these words).
I'm attaching a second video below which was taken shortly before we headed out into the snow while the storm was still blowing outside. It shows Sam walking around the house on his phone. You don't actually hear him chatting but I think the finish is adorable when he gets distracted by me with the camera.
Speaking of cameras, we managed to kill ours last weekend. Not sure when or how but it somehow got crunched and the display was cracked. Luckily, we've since replaced it so there's no need to worry about any lack of Sam pictures, Aunt Renee! :) To prove it, here's a picture from today of Sam in a tam hat. Unfortunately, it's already too small for him but we still love the look. Now I just need to get a matching one for Colin!
