I believe that the answer to the question of when to start referring to your child in terms of years rather than months should occur roughly near their second birthday. As such, while Sam is 25 months old today, I was hoping to steer this blog towards more Newfoundland content and with a more random posting frequency. Don't get me wrong, Sam will still be the most important character but I'm hoping to avoid using his chronological milestones as the inspiration for writing. Now, despite these best intentions, I did not manage to come up with any decent Newfoundland content this month and I find myself again posting on Sam's monthly update schedule. I'll try a little harder from now on. I'm afraid between work, trips to the park and overall silliness, the month has quickly passed by. We did spend a nice Saturday morning at the beach in St. Philip's a few weeks ago where I mucked around with the colour settings on the camera resulting in the pictures accompanying this blog entry. We'll try to do something more Newfoundlandish over the next few weeks so as to tickle everyone's appetite and we'll try to avoid having this involve kissing a cod. Failing this, I'll report about the weather, which has been lovely lately by the way...
